Check out Steve Young behind Rick Reilly on this segment from Monday night. He can still move and sling the ball, looks like he still has it. It's nice to see the hall of famer prancing around like the old days, making tosses in a suit! Maybe he should try out for the Dolphins, because Matt Moore isn't cutting it.

B.J. the Greek - Monday Night Pick

Jets -5.5 vs. Dolphins
We are buying a point here for -130. Jets have lost to three 2011 playoff teams this year, all on the road (Ravens, Raiders, Patriots). Expect the Jets to come out and THROTTLE the Dolphins. Reggie Bush is not an every down back, not sure what Miami was thinking! Rookie Daniel Thomas has played well, but was out last week and should be limited due to a hamstring injury tonight. Brandon Marshall hopes to be ejected by the second quarter, and Matt Moore is making his first start of the year at QB. Fun times to be a Dolphins fan! Expect the Jets D to cause MAJOR problems for Miami who is in the middle of their SUCK 4 LUCK campaign. Expect the Jets offense to click tonight, a big game from Shonn Greene, big plays to Holmes and Burress, and the Jets to roll to a double digit win. The Greek went 3-0 yesterday (Packers, Eagles, Falcons) and we are confident the Jets will cover this game.
(Jets 2-3 WL, 1-4 ATS) (Dolphins 0-4 WL, 1-3 ATS)

Brandon Marshall... is NUTS

Brandon Marshall’s goal for Monday Night’d game against the Jets?
Help the Dolphins get their first victory?
100+ yards receiving?
Catch three touchdowns?
NOPE
Marshall’s goal is to “get kicked out in the second quarter.” He stated that four separate times on Thursday.
“I think the past four games have been tough for me, trying to control some things, and, hey man, I’m just going to let it out,”
“I don’t care if I have two, three cameras on me. I don’t care if I have penalties. It doesn’t matter; I’m going to let it all out. I don’t care what you guys write or what the commentators say. I’m just going to play football. That’s what I’m best at. I’m best when I play emotional. I’m best when I play with passion. You guys are going to see that on Monday Night Football. I don’t know if it’s throwing a football 15 yards in the bleachers, or getting a 15-yarder [penalty], or punting the ball and getting thrown out of the game. But something is going to happen. I’ll probably get kicked out after the second quarter.”
When reporters asked Marshall if he was kidding, he replied:
“I’m not joking. I’m serious. They want to fine me, hit me with a $50,000 fine. I’m going to play. The quarter and a half I’m out there, I’m going to play like a monster. I might get into a fight with Bart Scott. [Antonio] Cromartie, we pretty much matured our relationship a little bit. We used to fight in Denver and San Diego. If that happens, it happens. We’ll see.”
Its all good though, because this offseason Marshall was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. Does that just mean that he is only crazy part of the time? Here’s a Beer Mug cheers to hoping that Marshall goes ABSOLUTELY APE SHIT in Monday nights game vs. the Jets. Not just gets ejected, like causes a major scene, punches Rex Ryan right in the GUT! Something to the point where security is called in to TAZER him. Yeah, thats what i'm Beer Mugging for.

Derrick Mason sat on by Rex Ryan! Dealt to the Texans!
Before the the year Rex Ryan said, "I'd obviously like to get Derrick right now, but he's got other teams, he's got other things like that."
I guess the Texans were one of those teams!
After he signed, Rex said, "Derrick Mason will catch 80 passes this season."
He only caught 13 passes in his 5 games as a Jet. It has been rumored that Mason was vocal about the play calling of offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, which caused his benching last week and dealing to the Texans for a 2012 7th round pick. I don't think Schottenheimer is the issue, the issue is Mark Sanchez. He simply doesn't have the ability at quarterback to run a sophisticated passing offense.

Guru - Week 4 Picks
Jets +3.5 at the Ravens
These teams played last year on opening day and the Ravens won that contest 10-9. This game will be close again, Rex will have his team ready to play after that sub-par performance last week against the Raiders.
Redskins Pick’em at the Rams
The Rams have been making so many mistakes and have been playing some of the worst football in the NFL. The Skins look much improved, and I expect them to pick up the road win at St.Louis this week to stay in the NFC east mix.

Patriots -4 at the Raiders
The Pats were ambushed by a series of great plays by the Bills last week, and were stunned by losing to them for the first time in 15 games. I expect Belichick to have his team ready for the Raiders this week, they should win by more than a touchdown.

Bonus Pick
Vikings -1.5 at the Chiefs
The Vikings are playing great ball in the first half of games so far this year, only to break down after half time and lose. They will jump on the Chiefs early again, but this time they will hold on for the win.

Joe Namath does not want Rex Ryan to kiss the Jets A's!
Hall of Fame Quarterback Joe Namath was on the Michael Kay radio program knocking the preparation methods of Coach Rex Ryan and his staff. Seems like Namath wants Rex to prepare like he did for the interview he did with Suzy Kolber a few years back. Here were his statements:
"It's rather alarming," Namath said, "It starts at the top. Coach Rex Ryan, he's been doing a great job, getting us to two conference championship games, but there's one thing about the athlete: You keep telling him how good he is, he's going to start believing it to the point that he may not be preparing quite the way he should. He may be losing some respect for the other team." Saying further, "I think these guys might be believing that they're better than they are," Namath said. "Rex has been the only coach that we know, in maybe the history of the game that I'm familiar with, that keeps continually telling his guys how good they are."
Rex shot back later in the same show with, "I'm not going to change who I am because Joe Namath said something. Namath can come in here, and if he can still throw, we'll have him as a backup quarterback. But you know what? He doesn't know our team. He's on the outside. Even though he's a Jet, and once you're a Jet, you're always a Jet, but he's on the outside."
Honestly, I feel this all may be a ploy to get Namath back to a Jets game so he can finally make out with Suzy! I'd love to see that!

B.J. the Greek Week 2 Picks

Steelers -14 vs. Seahawks
The Steelers were embarrassed last week by the Ravens 35-7. "We got handled in all three phases of the game." said Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin after the game. Expect Pittsburg to come out motivated after last week’s loss and lay a DRUBBING on Seattle, who lost 33-17 to the 49ers last week and who was shut out in the first half 16-0. Seattle is 2-8 ATS under Pete Carroll in road games. The Steelers will be looking to put the Ravens loss behind them and show most “experts” who picked them to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl that last week’s lopsided loss to the Raven was a fluke. Do not expect much from Seattle’s anemic offense and Tavaris Jackson other than 3 and outs and turnovers. Steelers roll in this game.
* buy down a point to -13
(Steelers 0-1 WL, 0-1 ATS) (Seahawks 0-1 WL, 0-1 ATS)
Packers -9.5 at Panthers
Super Bowl champions against a team that was 2-14 last year. Love the line at -9.5 thanks to an impressive debut by Cam Newton against Arizona. The Cardinals secondary is one of the worst in the league. Expect Green Bay to get to Newton, and Newton to turn the ball over multiple times in this game. Green Bay’s offense was hitting on all cylinders in week 1 against the Saints, where they put up 42 points. The Panthers will be without one of their best defensive players linebacker Jon Beason who suffered season-ending Achilles tendon tear last week against the Cardinals. This one could get ugly as the Packers give Cam Newton a reality check and CRUSH the Panthers.
(Packers 1-0 WL, 1-0 ATS) (Panthers 0-1 WL, 0-1 ATS)
Jets -9.5 vs. Jaguars
Jets defense vs. Luke McCown, I should not have to say anymore, but I will. Do not expect more than 10 points from the Jaguars who scored 16 last week in a 2 point win against the Titans. Jets stuff Maurice Jones-Drew and there are no other options on offense for Jacksonville. Quick, name the two starting wide receivers on the Jaguars?… Didn’t think so. Was impressed with the Jets throwing the ball last week 44 times and opening up the offense. Expect a better game from Shonn Green on the ground, and some big plays from Holmes and Burress. Jets cover EASY.
(Jets 1-0 WL, 0-1 ATS) (Jaguars 1-0 WL, 1-0 ATS)
BONUS - Cowboys ML -150 at 49ers
Why bother with the -3 or buying a ½ of point for -130 when you can get this game at -150 on the ML? Dallas outplayed the Jets for three and a half quarters last week and scored 24 points on a solid Jets defense. I expect the Cowboys to score 24+ this week against the 49ers and win this game straight up. The 49ers did not look good in the red zone last week settling for four field goals. 14 of the 49ers points were scored by Ted Ginn on a 102-yard kickoff and 55-yard punt returns. Not impressed at how the 49ers looked against a bad Seattle Seahawks team. Dallas has better talent with Romo, Austin, Bryant, and Witten. The Cowboys win the eye test based on the performances of both teams last week and WIN in comfortable fashion.
(Cowboys 0-1 WL , 1-0 ATS) (49ers 1-0 WL, 1-0 ATS)
